Event:

Youth Empowerment Summit Presented by Purdue University, July 16-18, 2010

Location:

Hyatt Regency Downtown Indianapolis

City:

$200 per person

Notes:

Since 1984, Indiana Black Expo, Inc. has convened youth leaders (and their advisors) to accomplish the following Mission:

We believe that youth can positively impact society. We believe that we need to empower, train, and organize youth to assume leadership positions in their communities.
Governed by that statement, summit organizers outlined these goals for the improvement of the student leaders as well as the communities in which they live.
Summit Goals 1. Prepare youth for their academic, personal, and community service goal achievements. 2. Assist youth in developing leadership skills to better their communities. 3. Provide training to youth service workers to better assist youth.
Themed, "Not Another Teen Statistic," this year's conference promises to offer many opportunities for young leaders (and those who work with them) to gain knowledge and resources to effect change in your local communities.
